Short description
The new building in the centre of the village of Meilen, known as the ‘Market Hall’, is part of the long-term development of the village centre of Meilen. The existing flight of steps from the village square will be extended to the ‘Market Hall’, linking the building directly to the village square. Hidden by the flight of steps, the ‘Market Hall’ will be connected to the existing municipal car park, which is located under the village square. Shops are being created on the two ground floors, while 18 non-profit apartments are being built on the three upper floors. In terms of urban planning, the market hall connects the upper and lower village squares and the planned ‘Marktgasse’ at the back.
